New Feature Probe Test for Testing Double Insulated Appliances
The SafeTcheck Pro Logger II now has a new feature Probe Test, available on all testers with Firmware Version 4.46 and above.
The new Probe Test gives the operator the ability to use either the probe; the cloak;or a combination of both to test Double Insulated Appliances. Unlike CheckConnect the Probe Test does not look for a completed return circuit and also provides adequate time to move the probe to several points on the DUT’s surface before the test is complete.

The STC

running a test sequence. Most, if not all other testers, will pass an
appliance even if it is not connected in accordance with the
standard.

The STC Pro Logger II is still the fastest, simplest and most thorough Portable Appliance Tester (PAT) on the market. Now with an integrated data logger as standard, testing appliances and recording results is as easy as
pressing a button. With the addition of a keyboard
and/or a scanner, the task of logging test results is childıs play and adds
little if no time to an electrical test. The STC Pro Logger II has the ability to
store up to 2000 records and gives the user complete control over how and what
is recorded.
The STC Pro Logger II is a big
advance in testing. It is packed with features that mean even better value for
the user. It is still the only portable appliance tester to ensure fail safe
test conditions for compliance with the latest Standard for Electrical Appliance
Safety (AS/NZS 3760). If fitted, the RCD Tester Option ensures 10mA, 30mA, portable or fixed RCDs comply with the Australian standard. When testing portable RCDs the STC Pro Logger inserts an integrated isolation transformer into the circuit to ensure any fixed RCD (in the mains supply circuit) is not tripped. For portable RCDs the STC Pro Logger II will also test the RCD as an extension lead. This test is necessary when testing the RCD
as it is also an Extension Lead. When testing fixed RCDs the STC
Pro Logger II uses a battery to power the LCD display after the RCD under test has
been tripped. This ensures the displayed test result is visible to the user for
approximately 2 minutes after the mains power is tripped during testing. This
also gives the user time to reset the RCD ready for the 180 degree test. The RCD
Option is 100s of dollars less than a separate RCD Tester and Isolation
Transformer. If fitted, the High Current Earth Test Option enables the user to
apply any one of three test currents when testing earth circuits. The option
consists of a fully integrated programmable constant current switch mode power
supply capable of delivering up to 25A into the earth circuit of an electrical
appliance under test. Currents can be set for Continuirty Tests @ 200mA, Routine
Tests @ 10A and Type Tests @ 25A . Manufacturers can use the 25A Type Test for
End of Line Testing.
